I don’t know about you but this year seems to have flown past so quickly. I often think “I ring client A today to catch up”, but due to kids, workload or sheer lack of motivation to pick up the phone, it doesn’t happen. Working from home can be isolating and to me it’s important to speak with people over the age of 7 at least once a day. I love getting out and talking to people so I don’t understand why it’s so hard for me to pick up the phone some days.This got me thinking about the other ways I communicate with my clients. Many of my clients have my Skype addy and everyone has my email of course. So when I break it down, I do ‘speak’ to adults over the age of 7 everyday, it’s just not speaking in the traditional sense.
How do you communicate with your clients or customers? Do you have a toll free number for them to call you on? Do you use the phone at all? Having a communication will return their calls and emails and so it’s important you do contact them in the timeframe you say you will.
I’m now thinking of getting a 1300 number for my Australian clients to cut down on phone costs and to encourage my clients to call me when they need to. Who knows… maybe they need to talk to an adult today too!
